I have to say that Savoy disapointed us during our stay in many ways. First of all we were informed that there was an ongoing refurbishment on the 5th floor, right above our apartment at the 4th floor. They said the construction company would only start at 10 am till 5 pm, but during our two days stay, they started before 8 am, even after we complained about it. Second, they gave us a two days stay at the parking lot for 35 euros, and when we tried to leave, the system asked for more 20 euros. In order not to pay, we had to ask for the help of Savoy, and only after 20 minutes of discussion between the Savoy receptionist and the Parking lot responsible part, we finally could get out without extra charge. What was strange to us, is that they were used to this system, and then they acknowledge that this was their first time using the card. The last thing but the worst part, was that they charged extra 127 euros in our card without informing us. We paid for the total amount up front when we got there, and when we checked the card statement, we found out the extra charge eventhough the invoice says the correct amount of 541,19.
The hotel is well placed but on arrival we were informed of renovation works being carried out, the noise was not worth the money paid.The advertisers should inform the paying public of such renovations prior making bookings.
The tv didn’t work in the first room we were in so we were moved. We had forgotten our phone charger and was offered the chsnce to buy one for around 10 euros. A chat with another member of staff later in the day and a charger was loaned free if charge. Much nicer public relations and what we expected in the first place.
